Tax
Money everyone pays towards the things we all share.
Three ways to explain it
Hatchlings · Ages 5–6
Money grown-ups pay so we can all have things like hospitals, schools and parks.
Fledglings · Ages 7–8
A part of what people earn or spend that goes to the government, to pay for things everyone uses.
High Flyers · Ages 9–10
A compulsory payment to the government, taken from earnings, spending and other things. It funds what no single person could pay for alone.
