Profit

What’s left when you sell something for more than it cost you.

Three ways to explain it

Hatchlings · Ages 5–6

If you make something for 50p and sell it for £1, the extra 50p is your profit.

Fledglings · Ages 7–8

The money left over after you’ve paid for everything it took to make or buy the thing you sold.

High Flyers · Ages 9–10
