Three ways to explain it
Hatchlings · Ages 5–6
A group of people who use money to help others. You can give them some of yours if you’d like to.
Fledglings · Ages 7–8
An organisation set up to help a particular cause — people, animals, the planet. They mostly run on money and time that other people choose to give.
High Flyers · Ages 9–10
An organisation that exists to serve a cause rather than to make a profit for owners. Funded by donations, fundraising and grants — and in the UK, registered charities have to publish what they do with the money.
